There are going to be a lot of "firsts" for Logan over the next few years and we started off with a roadtrip full of them. We drove up to Joe's cousin's house in Pagosa Springs, Colorado for a week around July 4th. Logan's 1st roadtrip, 1st hail/thunderstorm, 1st time being changed on Mel's lap in the front seat (during said hailstorm), 1st dip in a cold CO river, 1st hike, 1st time seeing and standing in snow, 1st time at 13,000ft, 1st time nursing at 13,000ft (just to name a few). The weather was a little bit colder than the hot AZ summers we were getting used to so we had to scrounge up every piece of long-sleeve and long-pant clothing we had for Logan. You will see he had some interesting outfits :) Overall, we had a great time. Logan is a happy boy whenever he is outside and we got to spend lots of time outdoors.

Note to self...a normally 9 hr car trip takes about 5 hours longer with a nursing, pooping infant |
Changing Logan on my lap during a hailstorm...thankfully this was not one of the blowout diapers we did have on the trip up. |
Enjoying outside dining with Uncle Tony and the Bucci's |
Hanging out with mommy in the sling. |
1st hike - Hiked to a pretty cool waterfall, hanging out in the ergo (what a life) |
Nursing at 13,000ft |
1st dip in the snow |
Rockin his new track suit (which he wore almost every day due to his inexperienced AZ parents not having enough warm weather clothes for him :) ) |
Training him early... |
1st dip in the cold river |
Obligatory (and unnecessary) stop at 4 corners on the way home...been there, done that, don't need to bother again
